Music Maestro Primary is a specially designed music scheme of work for non-specialist music teachers. Using the Model Music Curriculum as its base, this fully-resourced music scheme meets the requirements of the National Curriculum, with musical knowledge and skills mapped across Key Stages, Year Groups and units of study.
Furthermore, this scheme aims to cover all of this learning alongside a packed curriculum, where other subjects jostle for time. Uniquely, the scheme provides the full national curriculum offer, without putting on pressure to cover an overly-ambitious and time-consuming curriculum.
Cleverly, this scheme also links music study to assembly times, ensuring that pupils can consolidate and further develop their learning across a broad range of musical styles and periods, repeating or recalling learning and performing to their peers.
Music Maestro Primary is a free to access* music curriculum, providing each Key Stage with progressive learning across an array of musical concepts and skills. Precisely planned, sequenced and resourced lessons help teachers deliver content with confidence, methodically developing pupils' knowledge and skills over time.
Each Year Group has resourced plans which include:
With detailed lesson plans, teachers can follow a clear lesson script, which contains useful prompts and tips for less confident practitioners.
*A one-off license fee of £49 is payable for use of all resources in your school. There are no recurring subscription charges.
